エイジング

景観を評価する一つの指標として、
エイジングという考え方がキーワードになってくる
という話を聞いた。
時を経ても古びることなく
むしろ味になる素材、デザインが景観として魅力的なものになるという。
街並みが価値を生み出す観光都市はいずれも長い時を経て今の姿に到っている。
その街並みに多くの人が魅力を感じて訪ねてくる。
そういった景観は、何より保存していく意志によって生み出されるものだろうが、
その意志を引き起こすモノがなくては始まらないとも思う。
大量に流通する雑多な素材をエイジングという視点で整理できれば、
遠い将来、街の姿も多少かわるかもしれない。

I have heard that the way of thinking about "Aging" would become a keyword as one of the barometer for evaluating landscape.
That information also said that those materials and designs which do not get old but rather becomes tasteful during the course of time would become attractive as a landscape.
Every tourist town which streets bring about values has grown up to the present appearance during the past long time.
Such streets invite many peoples' visits who feel them attractive.
Such scenic beauty may be created only by the strong will to preserve streets, but, I think that nothing would get started without such thing  as would induce such strong will.
If we can arrange, from the viewpoint of "aging", various materials in good order which are distributing in large volume, the appearance of the town might change to some extent.
